What's most disappointing for the Houston Texans and their fans is that expectations were so high before the season.
"This is probably the most frustrating," Andre Johnson said, when asked if this is the toughest season he's been through with the Texans. "I guess because you have the team, you have the pieces in place and for some reason we just can't get it done."
In this week's poll, the voters' rankings for the Texans (2-7) ranged all the way from 24th to dead last. They are on a seven-game losing streak, having lost to the Ravens, Seahawks, 49ers, Rams, Chiefs, Colts and Cardinals. They now find themselves just one game out for the worst record in the league, since the formerly winless Jaguars and Buccaneers both won this week.
Some mildly good news? Houston faces No. 27 Oakland this weekend.
