RTC: Art Briles checks in on Case Keenum

By Tania Ganguli

Reading the coverage of the Houston Texans...

Baylor coach Art Briles recruited Case Keenum to the University of Houston, and he stopped by Texans practice Wednesday to say hello to his former quarterback, writes John McClain of the Houston Chronicle. Briles told McClain he was in Houston recruiting and decided to stop by. Keenum told the rest of us that his conversation with Briles was brief, but that even a brief conversation with him makes you "feel like you can run through a wall."

Several players talked Wednesday about what exactly was different about practice now that Wade Phillips is running it. Dave Zangaro of CSNHouston.com compiles their thoughts.

The Texans aren't sure why they have never won a game in Indianapolis, but right now they'd take any sort of win, writes Kristie Rieken of the Associated Press. "If we can get it anywhere, if we play in a parking lot — just getting a win," running back Ben Tate said. "I don't think it really matters. I don't know how much coaches are really thinking or going to emphasize that. It's just getting a win, period. I don't care if we play them at the Galleria mall. We just want to win."
