Power Rankings: No. 32 Houston Texans
By Tania Ganguli
A weekly look at the Texans' ESPN.com Power Ranking:
Preseason: 7 | Last Week: 32 | ESPN.com Power Ranking since 2002
Just as the Houston Texans can fall out of the running for the No. 1 overall draft pick with a win on Sunday in Tennessee, they might also be able to avoid finishing the season as the worst-ranked team in the NFL.
Again this week, the Texans were unanimous selections for No. 32, but Washington was a near-unanimous selection for No. 31. Should the Texans win and the Redskins lose, I'd say there's a chance the voters consider that Houston's strength of schedule was tougher than Washington's. Of course, if the Texans' record remains the worst in the NFL after Week 17, they'll deserve to stay right where they are.
Elsewhere, a win over the Texans didn't bump the Denver Broncos into the top spot. Even with its loss to the Arizona Cardinals, Seattle remained on its perch.
The Titans, this week's opponent for the Texans, rank 21st.
