Mini Madden player an accidental Titan
By Paul Kuharsky
NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- Shaun Phillips registers as his typical size in the newest version of the Madden video game.
There is a second No. 58 on the Titans however. In a well-publicized glitch, Browns linebacker Chris Kirksey is on Tennessee -- and he’s 14 inches tall.
“They need to stop all these glitches, and I tell Madden all the time, ‘Get my fricking speed up,’” Titans safety Bernard Pollard said. “That pisses me off when Jurrell Casey is faster than me. It’s a great game with funny things like this. I’d step on him.”
“Can he make a tackle? Of somebody 6-feet tall?” Titans practice squad defensive back Khalid Wooten asked. “I saw it on the internet. I want to check that out when I get home.”
The Titans have become largely invisible since last season. Their most recognizable player Chris Johnson was released. They hired a new coach and staff. They are routinely picked to be one of the worst teams in the league.
While this is more a Browns story than a Titans one, the snapshot of mini Kirksey in a white Titans jersey and light blue pants in a field of giant 49ers has been all over the place.
Frankly it’s the most anyone outside of Nashville has seen of a guy in a Titans uniform in some time.
It shows the power of Madden. And the lack of power of the Titans.
