The injury list in the AFC South extends beyond players.
Colts defensive line coach John Teerlinck, who’s long had hip problems, recently had surgery. He’s expected back in the office in the next week or so. His assistant, Bill Teerlinck, is running things in his father’s absence.
In Jacksonville, defensive coordinator Mel Tucker tore his quad while fielding puts Friday after practice. He will have surgery Friday and is expected to coach Sunday against the Saints from the press box at EverBank Field.
It's nice to rehab at an NFL facility, where top medical people are available. It's just not something scheduled into a coach's life during the season.
Best wishes to both for speedy recoveries.
