AFC South: Mike Dragosavich
Posted by ESPN.com's Paul Kuharsky
The Colts signed undrafted college free agents Chris Crane and Mike Tauiliili, the team announced.
Crane is a 6-4, 236-pound quarterback from Boston College. Tauiliili is a 5-11, 235-pound linebacker from Duke. (Him name is pronounced tau-elee-elee.)
The Colts waived linebacker Rufus Alexander and punter Mike Dragosavich. Alexander signed as a free agent with Indianapolis in December of last season and was inactive in three games with the club. Dragosavich was the team's lone punter until it spent a sixth-round draft pick on Patrick McAfee.
The Colts did not make a bid to retain punter Hunter Smith when he got to free agency, and they likely just traded into No. 222 in the seventh round to grab his replacement -- West Virginia's Pat McAfee.
McAfee punted and kicked for the Mountaineers, and perhaps he could also work as a kickoff guy in Indy. Adam Vinatieri had only eight touchbacks last season, while four teams in the league, including the rival Titans, had 22 or more.
Finding trade details has been unreasonably difficult this weekend. But my special source at Radio City Music Hall -- our NFC East ace Matt Mosley -- just told me the Colts gave the Eagles a sixth-round pick in 2010 to get to McAfee.
Before the draft, Mike Dragosavich was the lone punter on the Colts' roster.
It's been a while since I asked a question and sorted through your feedback, so here's a new round of that.
What Indianapolis Colts incumbent starter would you most like to see replaced?
I suspect some of you will say left tackle Tony Ugoh, whose play seemed to tail off last year, or even running back Joseph Addai, who was dinged and running behind a line that was often patched together because of injuries.
On defense, the team is expected to address defensive tackle in the draft. Does that mean you want Eric Foster, who started 11 games, or Keyunta Dawson, who started 14, out of the first 11 in exchange for a beefier guy? I am interested in seeing what you have to say here in the comments or in my mailbag.
I will see what you've got to say and revisit this soon.
