Updated: Bouman solidifies Jags' No. 2 QB job

Todd Bouman has earned the Jaguars' backup quarterback spot with his offseason work. Such positions can be fluid through training camp and even during a season, but for now, Bouman is No. 2.

Wednesday, the team announced that Cleo Lemon's contract was terminated. Three other players were also let go: Offensive lineman Drew Miller, defensive end Mkristo Bruce and cornerback Weldon Brown.
The Jaguars finish their 14 days of offseason OTAs Thursday, and outside of conditioning work, will be finished until training camp.
Lemon saw action in just one game last season but was David Garrard's primary backup.
Bouman spent a month with the Jaguars in 2007. He has played in 42 games with six starts as he heads into his 11th season. He looked better than Lemon when I was in Jacksonville for minicamp at the beginning of the month.
Paul Smith, undrafted out of Tulsa in 2008, is the other quarterback on the roster. He was on the practice squad for 15 games last season, then was on the roster but inactive for the season finale.
UPDATE (3:12 p.m.): The Jaguars just sent out another release. They've added quarterback Todd Boeckman and wide receiver Andy Strickland and waived wide receiver Jason English.
