Thanks to ESPN Stats & Analysis and the Elias Sports Bureau, there are all kinds statistical nuggets breaking down Oakland's 24-0 home defeat at the hands of the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday. Here some of the gory details:

Atlanta led 24-0, had a 20-0 edge in first downs and outgained the Raiders 309- -2 at halftime. It was the first time since 1992 a team was held to negative yards in the first half.

Atlanta held the Raiders to three first downs, a Falcons defensive record.

The 77 total yards are the fewest by the Raiders since gaining 58 in 1961 against the Chargers.

The Falcons had more first downs passing (12) than Oakland had net yards passing (10).

It's the first time the Raiders have been shut out since Dec. 17, 2006 against the Rams (20-0.)

The Falcons had the ball for 45:15. The last time a team had that much time of possession in a regulation game was September 12, 1999 when the Steelers held the ball for 47:49 at the Browns.

Oakland has been outscored 43-0 in the first halves of its past two games and has been outgained 530 yards to 33 yards.

The Raiders set franchise records Sunday for fewest offensive plays (34); first downs (three) and total yards (77).

Matt Ryan passed for 220 yards in the Falcons' 24-0 win at Oakland, a week after Joe Flacco and the Ravens defeated the Raiders. Over the last 30 years, only one other team lost consecutive games with rookies starting at QB for both opponents. The Lions lost to the Bucs (Shaun King) and Bears (Cade McNown) in December 1999.

The Raiders have been shutout at home three times in the last three seasons, after suffering only one home shutout over their first 46 seasons.

Indeed, life is ugly for the Raiders who now have a combined record of 21-67 since advancing to the Super Bowl after the 2002 season.
