The following is a look at why I placed the AFC West teams where I did in the Week 10 NFL Power Rankings:

San Diego Chargers

  • Power ranking: 21
  • Where I ranked them: I had San Diego ranked No. 22. The Chargers moved up here in my rankings simply because they were on a bye and they didn't lose. It's a bad league where a 3-5 team can move up on the merit of not playing.

Denver Broncos

  • Power ranking: 22
  • Where I ranked them: I had Denver ranked 20th. This team is heading south, but it has four wins so I couldn't go much lower. But this team is a bad No. 20.

Oakland Raiders

  • Power ranking: 30
  • Where I ranked them: I had the Raiders ranked No. 29. Some may argue that this is the worst team in the league. It's a solid argument but the truth is Oakland has won two games so it can't be the worst in my book.

Kansas City Chiefs

  • Power ranking: 31
  • Where I ranked them: I had the Chiefs No. 30. Yes, the Bengals won Sunday but the Chiefs are a little better of a team. The Chiefs could have easily won their last two games. They are fighting hard.
