The Chargers are going to get an up, close and personal look at Mt. Cody.

The Carroll County times is reporting Alabama nose tackle Terrence Cody will make a pre-draft visit to San Diego. Cody will also visit Baltimore and the Jets, according to the report.

Cody is a prototypical nose tackle for the 3-4 defense. That is one of San Diego’s biggest needs. If Cody is available at No. 28, there is a strong chance San Diego will take him.

The Chargers are likely bringing in Cody to make sure he is making strides with his weight loss. He caused alarm when he showed up to the Senior Bowl in January at 370 pounds. He has lost more than 20 pounds since.

If Cody can control his weight, he could be a star in the NFL. He would be a perfect replacement for Jamal Williams in San Diego. This visit is well worth the Chargers’ time.
