Here is the bad news for Chiefs fans: Tony Gonzalez is thinking about retiring from the NFL.
However, here is the good news for Chiefs fans: The future Hall of Fame tight end will only retire after this season if Kansas City wins the Super Bowl.
See you in 2009, Tony.
While Gonzalez is sure to play two more seasons, it is still a little jarring to think that Gonzalez may play just two more seasons. Gonzalez, 32, is the type of player who seemingly could play forever.
He is in supreme shape -- and in his 12th year -- and is showing no signs of slowing down. The idea of Gonzalez playing another five years does not seem outrageous. But it seems he is thinking about saying goodbye.
