Raiders continue to address run D

The Raiders are clearly focusing on fixing their glaring problem of stopping the run.

Oakland used the No. 44 pick (after making two trades to for low-round picks) on Texas defensive tackle Lamarr Houston.

By all accounts, Houston is a solid player. He teams with new middle linebacker Rolando McClain, who was taken at No. 8.

The Raiders will rely on these two new players to help make the defense stouter against the run. Still, the Raiders bypassed several offensive tackle options to take Houston. The team has a glaring need at tackle.

Interestingly, Oakland also bypassed quarterbacks Jimmy Clausen and Colt McCoy to take Houston. But his selection does potentially fix a problem.
