Bailey is out for Denver again

Champ Bailey's groin injury is going to be at least a seven-week recovery time. When Bailey injured Oct. 20 at New England, it was estimated that he would miss 4-6 weeks.

However, Bailey is inactive again Sunday at the New York Jets. Thus, he won't return until Dec. 7 at home against Kansas City at the earliest.

It was expected last week that Bailey would return to face the Jets. He has been practicing the past three weeks on a limited basis. But he didn't make the expected progress this week. He was never able to go full speed in practice this week.

So Denver is staying cautious with Bailey and he won't face the Jets. He will be replaced by undrafted rookie Josh Bell for the third straight game.

The Broncos are hopeful injured linebacker D.J Williams (this is his fourth straight missed game with a knee injury) and Nate Webster (this is his third straight missed game with a knee injury) will be able to face the Chiefs next week.
