The Kansas City Chiefs signed Canadian college star linebacker Cory Greenwood.

He was the third overall pick of the 2010 CFL draft by Toronto. However, Greenwood jumped at the chance to play in the NFL after performing well in a weekend workout for the Chiefs. Greenwood won the President’s Trophy as the best defensive player in Canadian Interuniversity Sport as a senior at Concordia University in Montreal. He is 6-foot-2 and 235 pounds.

His best chance to make the Chiefs as a rookie will be a special-teams player.
