The following is a look at why I placed the AFC West teams where I did in the Week 15 NFL power rankings:
- Power ranking: 16
- Where I ranked them: I had Denver ranked 13th. There are a lot of teams with five losses, but the Broncos have won four of five games, and despite many injuries, they have been impressive of late.
Power ranking: 21- Where I ranked them: I had the Chargers ranked 23rd. They are coming off an impressive win over Oakland but they still have eight losses so I have to keep them at 23rd.
Power ranking: 27- Where I ranked them: I had the Chiefs ranked 28th. They played well against Denver and the Chiefs are playing better than their 2-11 record indicates.
Power ranking: 29- Where I ranked them: I had the Raiders ranked 29th. Unlike the Chiefs, the Raiders have not been overly competitive in the second half of the season. They are coming off one of their worst games of the season, a 34-7 loss to San Diego.
