The Denver Post is reporting that rookie quarterback Tim Tebow was participating in pregame warm-ups and he’d likely make his Denver debut Sunday night against Pittsburgh.

Tebow sat out last week’s game with a rib injury he suffered in the preseason opener at Cincinnati. Tebow took a big hit while scoring a touchdown on the last play of the game two weeks ago. He's expected to play in the fourth quarter after starter Kyle Orton and current backup Brady Quinn play. Tebow should play extensively Thursday at Minnesota.

Meanwhile, the Denver Post reported that the news isn’t as encouraging for running back Knowshon Moreno and first-round pick Demaryius Thomas. Moreno has been out for four weeks with a hamstring injury and Thomas has a recurring foot issue. The paper said both players were running gingerly during pregame warm ups.

Still, the fact that they are running two weeks before the season opener can be looked at optimistically. Often, improvement can happen rapidly once players start to hit the running part of the recovery program.
