  • In Kansas City, Scott Pioli is now apparently only talking to the Chiefs after it appears Cleveland is no longer an option. The Chiefs continue to talk to Pioli who has been their top target to take over for Carl Peterson.

  • In San Diego, no formal drunken driving charges have been filed against Chargers wide receiver Vincent Jackson. He was arrested for the suspicion of DUI Tuesday morning.

The Chargers have said he will play Sunday at Pittsburgh in the AFC divisional playoff game. Jackson was arrested for drunken driving in 2006. If he is convicted of this latest arrest, he will likely face some sort of NFL discipline.

  • The word out of Denver is that Tampa Bay secondary coach Raheem Morris was very impressive in his interview Monday. The team will finish its first round of interviews on Thursday. Miami secondary coach Todd Bowles will be the seventh candidate to interview since Saturday as Denver tries to replace the fired Mike Shanahan.

Still, there are expectations in Denver that passing game coordinator Jeremy Bates and run game coordinator Rick Dennison will remain. Dennison interviewed for the head coaching job Tuesday.
