Here is a transcript of our AFC West chat from Thursday.
One subject of particular interest was whether I believe third-year Oakland running back Darren McFadden should be considered a bust. McFadden was the No. 4 overall pick in 2008. He has been hampered by injuries and has had just one good game in the NFL.
Still, it’s too early to call him a bust. This will be an important season for McFadden. He must show he can stay healthy and be a difference maker, or the bust question will have more legitimacy after the season.
Other topics broached were who I think is better right now; Kansas City running back Jamaal Charles or San Diego rookie rusher Ryan Mathews and what receiver group I like more, San Diego’s or Oakland’s?
Thanks to everyone who helped make the hour breeze by.
