Greetings from Nashville

NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- I am here for Oakland’s season opener at Tennessee on Sunday. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m. ET.

I look forward to seeing the Raiders as they try to shake a seven-season funk of losing at least 11 games, which is an NFL record for futility. Oakland, which looked good in the preseason, upgraded at quarterback in the form of veteran Jason Campbell and added some pieces to the defense. Let’s see how it works in Tennessee.

The key for Oakland is to try to control the game on offense and try to contain star Titans’ running back Chris Johnson. If the Raiders do both, they could open the season on the right foot.

Please check back Sunday for live reports form Nashville and updates from Denver’s game at Jacksonville.
