The San Diego Chargers announced they need to sell just more than 2,000 additional seats to sell out Sunday against New England. The team had said it expected the game to be a sellout and it still easily can be. The Chargers’ first two home games have been blacked out on local television because they were not sell outs. Previously, the Chargers sold out 48 straight games.

The team’s 2-4 record isn’t helping its ticket-selling cause. Still, with so few tickets to be sold, it’d be a surprise if this game was blacked out.

Denver signed linebacker Diyral Briggs from the practice squad and it put receiver Matt Willis on the injured reserve. Receiver Eron Riley was signed to the practice squad.

There is a chance the Kansas City Chiefs could face a newly signed No. 3 quarterback Sunday when they host Jacksonville. That would be quite a drop off from their previous two opposing quarterbacks – Peyton Manning and Matt Schaub.
