Here are some areas the San Diego Chargers need to focus on after a 36-14 win at Indianapolis:

Recap: The Chargers have set the scene for a thrilling final five weeks in the AFC West. They are now 6-5 after their breathtaking performance at Indianapolis. San Diego, which has won four straight games, trails Kansas City (7-4) by one game in the division. The Chargers enter December knowing they have not lost in the month since Philip Rivers took over as the starting quarterback in 2006.

Biggest area to fix: slow defensive start: The Colts easily scored on the first drive of the game before falling apart. The same thing happened last week to the San Diego defense in a 35-14 win over the Broncos. The Chargers overcame the slow starts, but they’d still like to start games better on defense.

Biggest area to build on: defensive dominance. The Chargers manhandled Colts star quarterback Peyton Manning. San Diego intercepted four passes and two were returned for touchdowns. The Chargers were unbeatable on defense.

What to watch for: San Diego will try to keep rolling by avenging a loss at Oakland. The Raiders have lost its past two games by a total of 48 points.
