Here are some areas the Kansas City Chiefs need to focus on after a 27-13 win at St. Louis:

Recap: The Chiefs came up big on the road with a convincing win over a team that also was playing for the playoffs. Kansas City finished its road slate 3-5 with the win. Kansas City is now 9-5. The Chiefs can win the AFC West with wins in their final two games of the season.

Biggest area to fix: slow start. The Rams ran right down the field on their first two series and scored two field goals. After a 31-0 loss at San Diego last week, the Chiefs looked like they could get rolled again. Kansas City rebounded and scored 20 unanswered points. Still, the Chiefs need to start faster.

Biggest area to build on: quarterback play. Matt Cassel took control of this season. Eleven days after having an appendectomy, Cassel came back and showed he is the leader of the Chiefs. Cassel is a tone setter for Kansas City.

What to watch for: Can the Chief continue their dominance at New Arrowhead Stadium? Kansas City is 6-0 at home. It finishes the season at home against Tennessee and Oakland. If Kansas City can take care of business at home, they’ll win their first division title in seven years.
