Kansas City minicamp news: Veterans Brian Waters and Tony Gonzalez did not practice with the team during last weekend voluntary minicamp. Running back Larry Johnson did practice, however. All three players have been the subject of trade rumors.
Denver works out Sanchez: The Broncos were set to work out USC quarterback Mark Sanchez. This means Denver is, at least, is considering talking Sanchez in the first round Saturday if it gets the opportunity.
Madden retires, says he won't join Raiders: Former Oakland head coach John Madden, 73, retired from his broadcasting career. He said he will not join the Raiders as a consultant as he begins the next phase of life.
