Mel Kiper Jr.'s latest mock draft is up and his choice for the Kansas City Chiefs is an eye opener: LSU defensive end Tyson Jackson.

This would be a huge draft-board changer, especially in the AFC West. Jackson is a great fit for the 3-4 defense and Denver (which picks No. 12 and No. 18) and San Diego (No. 16) both reportedly covet him.

Kansas City is also moving to the 3-4 defense and Jackson would fit there. Still, taking him so high might be considered a reach. Kansas City is believed to be open to trading the pick and I'd think they would try hard to move the pick before taking Jackson. If Kansas City drops anywhere in the top 11, the Chiefs will likely still be able to snag Jackson. Their only competition could be Green Bay at No. 9.

If Jackson is the pick at No. 3, the plans of the rest of the AFC West could be altered.
