John Lynch left the Denver Broncos two weeks ago and it has been very quiet on the Lynch front since.
Lynch and the team decided to part ways July 30. Two days later he was officially released. Lynch departed the team because he was looking for a bigger role elsewhere. He was starting in Denver's training camp but was leaving the field in nickel defensive packages. Lynch, who will be 37 next month, said he'd pursue a full-time job elsewhere.
Lynch also said he'd pursue a career in broadcasting if he didn't get the right fit. There has been no word of him having serious talks with any team at this point. Unless a contending team suffers a major injury, Lynch may not play again.
This one could take some time to develop if Lynch is set on playing again. If the future hall of famer decides to pursue broadcasting, he should quickly find work. He is extremely bright and articulate and would offer a lot to the broadcasting game.
