Muhammad Wilkerson chats up Chargers

In an ESPN SportsNation chat, Temple defensive lineman Muhammad Wilkerson was asked about the prospect of being drafted by San Diego. Wilkerson, who also has been connected to Kansas City, wrote this: "I would love to be a part of that organization. If I was the missing piece that was missing, I would do what I could to make sure I fulfill that."

I could see a scenario where Wilkerson ends up in San Diego, perhaps in a trade down.

In other AFC West nuggets on Thursday afternoon:

Denver vice president of football operations John Elway and general manager Brian Xanders spoke to several Denver season ticket holders.

Georgia linebacker Akeem Dent reportedly visited the Chiefs. He is rising up some boards and he could be a third-round pick.

San Diego general manager A.J. Smith jokes about being on “the hot seat.” Say what you like about Smith, but he will never show he’s ruffled or worried.

Would Oakland free agent safety Michael Huff be a fit in Houston or Jacksonville? Huff had a terrible game in a loss at Jacksonville. The Jaguars have to remember that.
