Chiefs continue to sign draft picks

The pens in the Kansas City Chiefs' front office have been busy in the past week.

The team signed seventh-round pick, tight end Jake O'Connell, Friday. He was the third draft choice the team has signed in a week. Kansas City also inked veteran safety Mike Brown this week.

O'Connell, one of Kansas City's three seventh-round picks, played at Miami (Ohio). He is considered a decent receiver and a solid special-teams player.

The Chiefs, of course, still have their big rookie fish to sign. Defensive end Tyson Jackson remains unsigned. The No. 3 pick from LSU told reporters during the offseason he wants to arrive to training camp on time. Still, serious talks with Jackson may not start for a few weeks.
