Sunday, ESPN Boston reporter Mike Reiss wrote that it would make a lot of sense if the Kansas City Chiefs make New England left tackle Matt Light a top free-agent target.

My thoughts?

Sure, it does make some sense.

If Kansas City general manager Scott Pioli wants to be a big player in free agency, Light could be a target. The Chiefs were connected to several to tackle prospects in the draft. However, they didn’t take a tackle in the draft.

If Light came to Kansas City, it would likely move Branden Albert to right tackle. I’m not sure the Chiefs want to move Albert, but having Light and Albert as the two tackles would make it a pretty strong line. Light will be 33 next month, but he could help this line for the next few seasons.

Light would fit in with the Chiefs. Pioli was part of the organization when Light was drafted and Light blocked for Kansas City quarterback Matt Cassel in 2008 in New England.
