Rookie kicker stands alone in Kansas City

Mr. Irrelevant may have just become relevant in Kansas City.

The Chiefs just announced they cut kicker Connor Barth. He was the incumbent kicker and he kicked in 10 games last season. The Chiefs brought in competition in the form of Ryan Succop. He was the final pick of the 2009 draft, thus earning the name "Mr. Irrelevant" given annually to the final pick of the NFL draft.

Succop is currently the only kicker on the team's roster. The Chiefs will likely bring in some competition for the South Carolina product. But with Barth being cut, Succop has to be considered the favorite to be the Chiefs' kicker in 2009.
