Not so fast. Perhaps feelings will change.

Michael Lombardi of the NFL Network is reporting that the San Francisco 49ers are seriously pursuing Oakland Raiders free-agent cornerback Nnamdi Asomugha and are currently the favorites, along with the New York Jets, to land him.

I have a feeling it wouldn’t sit well in the Raider Nation if Asomugha made the short trek across the Bay. Raiders fans (at least the fans I know and I have the pleasure of knowing many well) have strong disdain for the 49ers. They dislike the 49ers as much (or perhaps more) as any AFC West rival.

Seeing Asomugha in the red and gold would be a sickening thought to many Oakland fans.

Our poll this week asked Oakland fans who they’d blame if Asomugha walked away from the Raiders. Overwhelmingly, folks voted that they wouldn’t have any hard feeling and they’d chalk it up to business.

Would that sentiment change if the 49ers land him, Raider Nation? Fill up the comments section with your thoughts.
