Saturday, Raiders coach Lane Kiffin said this is a big week for new Oakland receiver Javon Walker. The Raiders host Arizona on Saturday night and Kiffin wants to see Walker play well.

Walker signed a six-year, $55 million deal this offseason. Oakland paid him to be its No. 1 receiver, which it desperately needs. However, Kiffin has said Walker has not been up to snuff. The question is, if Walker fails to impress, will Oakland look to add a veteran to its receiver crew?

The Raiders also have Ronald Curry and Drew Carter. Neither has proven to be a top flight player in the past. The Raiders also like youngsters Todd Watkins and Chaz Schilens but it would be asking a lot to expect either of these players to evolve into instant standouts.

There isn't much out there on the open market. With Chris Henry heading back to Cincinnati, there is one less name available.

Among the veterans on the open market include Eric Parker (who is still recovering from a toe injury), Joe Horn (who at this point is looking at San Diego and Denver from the AFC West), Eric Moulds, Terry Glenn (who could be headed toward Miami), Koren Robinson, Keenan McCardell and Eddie Kennison. It would be unlikely that any of these veterans would be able to make an immediate difference for Oakland. But these are the players Oakland could be looking at if it feels the need for another veteran.
