Oakland-bound

10/1/2011

I will be in Oakland on Sunday for the Raiders’ biggest game in years.

I think this is Oakland’s biggest regular-season since the 2002 season. The Raiders went to the Super Bowl that season. They haven’t had a winning record since. Thus, no game has been this big for the Raiders in the past nine seasons. If they beat the New England Patriots, it will turn the NFL on its ear. The Raiders -– who beat the New York Jets at home last week -- will be legitimate AFC playoff contenders

This game is going to be fun to watch. Both teams move the ball extremely well on offense, but both teams have had trouble playing defense. Expect a lot of points and expect a close, entertaining game.

Pleas join me for pre, in and post-game coverage. I will also have coverage of the rest of the AFC West action.
