Forbes has released its annual list of the team values. The Oakland Raiders were listed as the 32nd most valuable team. With the Raiders’ merchandise solid all around the world, I’d think the Raiders would be ranked higher. Denver was ranked 10th, Kansas City was 14th and San Diego was 24th.

San Diego rookie guard Louis Vasquez will start in the Chargers’ preseason finale and has a chance to be the starter once the regular season begins. The Chargers love this third-round pick and are going to have a difficult time keeping him off the field.

On ESPN on Thursday, sports illustrator Jim Trotter suggested that San Diego quarterback Philip Rivers left some money on the table when he signed his contract extension to help the Chargers eventually re-sign tight end Antonio Gates. Rivers signed a six-year, $92 million deal.Gates has two more seasons on his contract.
