Denver cuts receiver

To make room for newly reinstated wide receiver Brandon Marshall, Denver cut veteran receiver Chad Jackson on Monday.

The Broncos were given a one-day roster exemption on Sunday when they reinstated Marshall after a nine day, team-imposed suspension. Jackson was the last receiver to make the roster, so he was deemed expendable.

Jackson played for Denver coach Josh McDaniels and in New England when McDaniels was the offensive coordinator. Jackson joined Denver last year after being cut by New England.
