- Oakland safety Michael Huff will be in the starting lineup this week. He has an NFL leading three interceptions in two games after a slow start to his NFL career.
- In Kansas City, linebacker Derrick Johnson says he won’t play Sunday because of a groin injury, and receiver Dwayne Bowe didn’t practice Thursday.
- San Diego receiver Vincent Jackson talks about his relationship with quarterback Philip Rivers in a radio interview.
- Denver coach Josh McDaniels talks about his team’s 2-0 start in a radio interview.
- Denver receiver Brandon Marshall practiced fully Thursday after sitting out Wednesday with an illness. Guard Ben Hamilton didn’t practice Thursday because of a thigh injury. He did practice Wednesday.
