San Diego star linebacker Shawne Merriman is active and is expected to play against visiting Miami on Sunday.
Merriman practiced Friday after sitting out the first two days of practice with a groin injury. He missed the final two drives of San Diego’s loss to Baltimore last week.
Guard Louis Vasquez is inactive. He will miss his second straight game with a knee injury. Running back Darren Sproles will continue to start for LaDainian Tomlinson. He is out for the second straight week with an ankle injury.
