OAKLAND -- The signature of the Mike Shanahan Denver Broncos was the running game.

Shanahan is gone, but the Broncos are still living by the run in the early stages of the Josh McDaniels era.

Denver running backs Correll Buckhalter and Knowshon Moreno have run the ball well. Buckhalter had 90 yards on nine carries and Moreno has 58 yards on 12 carries. Denver has run the ball 21 times compared to 15 passes. As long as Denver can have success on the ground and keep the pressure off of quarterback Kyle Orton, it could have a nice thing going offensively.
