Courtesy of the Chargers' PR staff, we have the Chargers' participation report for their game against visiting Carolina.

All five players on San Diego's injury report are big names. It looks like San Diego will be without standout center Nick Hardwick and left tackle Marcus McNeill. Jeremy Newberry is set to replace Hardwick and L.J. Shelton would play for McNeill.

Also note that tight end Antonio Gates and linebacker Shawne Merriman fully practiced Wednesday. Both are expected to play against the Panthers.
