As expected, Kansas City receiver Dwayne Bowe did not show up Friday morning when the Chiefs’ opened training camp.
He is a franchised player who did not sign his tender. He has been away from the team all offseason and now is officially a holdout. I wrote late Thursday night that staying away from camp would be a bad move for Bowe.
This thing can get ugly, and it is so unnecessary. We all know Bowe will show up at some point. It needs to be now.
Meanwhile, ESPN’s Adam Schefter expects San Diego to be a surprise team.
