The San Diego Chargers have reportedly found a camp arm.

The North County Times is reporting that the team will sign veteran Kevin O'Connell. The San Diego State product likely won’t be around long.

He is being signed because backup quarterback Charlie Whitehurst will be out a couple of weeks with an injury. So, O’Connell might stick around for a preseason game or two. The team signed Kyle Boller late last week. He retired after one day with the team.

In other AFC West news:

The Chiefs signed former Baltimore linebacker/tight end Edgar Jones. He is expected to be a linebacker for the Chiefs. He replaces safety Kyle McCarthy on the roster. McCarthy suffered a season-ending knee injury Friday, the first day of practice for the Chiefs. He had a chance to make the roster.

With Quinton Carter dealing with a hamstring injury, the Broncos signed safety Anthony Perkins to help with camp safety depth.
