AFC West camp notes

August, 6, 2012
  • Oakland Raiders receiver Denarius Moore is not practicing again with a lingering hamstring injury. He has been on-and-off the practice field. Giving the starter a rest is a good idea because hamstring injuries can be tricky. There’s no use risking a long-term injury for a key player. Oakland defensive tackle Richard Seymour is not practicing. The reason is unknown as of now.
  • Kansas City cornerback Brandon Flowers is not practicing Monday, after suffering a bruised foot last week. Coach Romeo Crennel said late last week he didn’t think the injury was serious. So, Flowers is probably being held out as a precaution.
  • Oakland linebacker Aaron Curry and punter Shane Lechler are still not practicing. They’ve been out all of training camp.
  • The Raiders cut defensive tackle Travis Ivey after he was unable to pass their conditioning tests. The 341-pound Ivey had a chance to be a bottom-of-the-roster player. Starting cornerback Ronald Bartell has returned to practice after missing last week with a hamstring injury.
