How is Tom Cable going to spin it this week?
Last week, a day after the Raiders rolled over and played dead at home in a 20-point loss to Denver, Cable, who is now 5-11 as Oakland’s coach, defiantly told reporters that Oakland was on the brink of turning it around.

Well, I don’t know how long the brink lasts, but Oakland is not close.
It was completely handled by an average Houston team. For the second straight week, Oakland was completely controlled by an opponent.
Of course, Oakland’s issues start with quarterback JaMarcus Russell. He had another bad day Sunday as he completed 12 of 33 passes. His passer rating is 39.8.
Still, Oakland’s issues are multifold. Oakland’s run game couldn’t get going again. Darren McFadden has not played well. He had minus-3 yards on six carries. Defensively, Oakland is having issues as well. Houston ran and passed on Oakland at will.
Oakland fought so hard in the season opener at San Diego, but it has played poorly in the past three games and is lucky to be 1-3.
It won't get easier for Oakland. Here are the team’s next four opponents: At the New York Giants, Philadelphia, New York Jets and at San Diego.
Unless there is a major change (as Cable predicted), Oakland’s misery may reach seven seasons.
