For the second time in training camp, a veteran offensive tackle has retired shortly after joining the Chiefs.
Friday, the team announced veteran tackle Ray Willis retired. He was in the Chiefs’ camp and he was a long shot to make the team.
Willis replaced Tony Ugoh, who retired shortly after signing with the Chiefs early in camp. Like Willis, the Chiefs were looking at Ugoh as a potential reserve. I would think Kansas City will look at veteran tackles after the final cuts are made Aug. 31.
