The Raiders have announced they claimed cornerback Coye Francies on waivers from Seattle. Francies has some NFL experience, but he is no sure thing to make the 53-man roster.

Defensive back Conroy Black was cut to make room for Francies. In other Oakland moves, offensive lineman Zach Hurd (head), fullback Rashawn Jackson (hip) and offensive lineman Ed Wang (shoulder) were moved from waived/injured to injured reserve. They are out for the season, but remain property of the team.

In other AFC West news:

In an Insider piece, Mel Kiper mentions some AFC West youngsters as potential fantasy stars down the road.

Former San Diego running back LaDainian Tomlinson has joined NFL network as an analyst. He retired earlier this year.

Don’t ask Miami rookie quarterback Ryan Tannehill for directions to Kansas City.
