Garcia rips Raiders, Russell: Former Oakland backup quarterback and current free agent Jeff Garcia criticized the team and quarterback JaMarcus Russell in a radio interview.
Marshall comes alive: Denver receiver Brandon Marshall made a terrific catch-and-run on a 51-yard touchdown to help Denver beat Dallas and move the team's record to 4-0. Marshall had previously asked to be traded from Denver and was suspended by the team.
Thomas files grievance against the Chiefs: Linebacker Zach Thomas, who was with the Chiefs for four months and who was a final cut, is seeking his lost salary from Kansas City because he believes he was waived while injured.
