How good do the Denver Broncos feel about Peyton Manning's health?

So good, they dumped his only experienced backup on the eve of Manning’s first game since the 2010 playoffs, cutting veteran Caleb Hanie. The only backup quarterback now on the Denver roster is rookie Brock Osweiler.

Hanie’s release is not a huge surprise. By cutting him now, his contract is not guaranteed. Denver could bring back Hanie next week.

One thing is for certain: Denver feels confident Manning, who missed all of last season with a neck injury, will be raring to go when Denver hosts Pittsburgh on Sunday night.

Denver signed defensive tackle Sealver Siliga off the practice squad to take Hanie’s spot.
