Marcus Allen is mending fences with the Oakland Raiders.

In a cool and overdue development, CSNBayArea is reporting that the Hall of Fame running back will light the team’s ceremonial flame that honors the late Al Davis. The flame is lit before home games.

This moment will mean a lot. With Allen lighting the flame it signifies an end to his feud with Davis. Allen and Davis were at odds since Allen's days with the Raiders. Allen then finished his career with the Kansas City Chiefs.

The report indicates Allen was asked to light the flame by Davis’ son and current Raiders owner Mark Davis. Kudos to Davis for attempting to bring Allen back to the team and kudos to Allen for accepting the offer. This is a good thing.
