One player to watch from each AFC West team in Week 6:
Denver, Demaryius Thomas, receiver: Thomas had nine catches for 188 yards at New England. But he lost a key fumble on the first drive of the game that cost Denver. He has lost fumbles in three straight games. That can’t continue Monday night at San Diego.
Kansas City, Jon Baldwin, receiver: The 2011 first-round draft pick was great in camp, but he hasn’t done much on a consistent basis this season. He has just 11 catches in five games. So much more is expected from him, beginning Sunday at Tampa Bay.
Oakland, Richard Seymour, defensive lineman: The Raiders hope Seymour comes off the bye ready to make a bigger contribution. Seymour has just eight tackles in four games and has not made much of contribution. He is 33 and he is showing his age. Oakland hopes he can rebound and help this needy defense Sunday against the 5-0 Falcons.
San Diego, Melvin Ingram, pass-rusher: Ingram is playing well but he was called for a huge roughing-the-passer penalty at New Orleans on a play that nullified a touchdown that would have given the Chargers a 17-point lead. Instead, the penalty sparked the Saints, who scored the final 17 points of the game. Ingram can’t be gun-shy when he has a chance to bring down Peyton Manning right after his colossal penalty. It will be interesting to see how the rookie responds.
