Darren McFadden won't return Sunday

OAKLAND -- Oakland Raiders running back Darren McFadden will not return Sunday against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

The extent of his injury is unclear. The team announced McFadden will not return, but X-rays were negative and no other information was given. Mike Goodson has replaced him in the lineup.

McFadden suffered what appeared to be a lower right leg injury. McFadden had seven carries for 17 yards before leaving the game. He missed at least three games in all four of his NFL seasons entering this season. He missed the final nine games of last season with a foot injury.

The Denver Post reports standout Broncos guard Chris Kuper is expected to miss time after suffering a severe ankle sprain Sunday at Cincinnati. He came back from a broken forearm in Week 6. He broke his leg in Week 17 last season.
