Here are some areas the Oakland Raiders need to focus on after a 26-13 home loss to Denver on Thursday:

Recap: This game was not as close as the score indicated. The Broncos trounced the Raiders. It was just another lackluster effort by this team. Oakland fell to 3-10 and it has lost six straight games, which is its longest losing skid since 2007. Oakland is currently on pace to get the No. 3 pick in the draft.

Biggest area to fix: Penalties. The Raiders got better in this area early in the season, but the issues are still hurting this team. Oakland was penalized 11 times for 94 times and the penalties kept coming at critical times.

Biggest area to build on: Red zone defense. Denver was just 2-of-7 in the red zone. Oakland’s defense has been awful all season and Denver had its way on offense. But Oakland tightened inside its own 20 in this game.

What to watch for: Oakland hosts Kansas City in Week 15. It is the Raiders’ last home game of the season. They are 2-5 at home. This game could have huge draft-pick implications. Kansas City is 2-10 going into Sunday’s game at Cleveland and it is on pace for the No. 1 pick.
